An Intel 2GHz quad-core Xserve runs our ImagePortal system, this is a new Data Asset Management solution from NetXposure. Unlike many DAM systems that offer Web modules as an after-thought, Image Portal X was built from its inception to be a Web-based solution. Mac or PC, Safari, Explorer, Firefox, or Netscape, to the end user it doesn't matter because Image Portal X is accessible from any browser that is connected to the Web - no client side components are needed. This means that no software is needed to be installed at the clients studio or home and more importantly no firewall issues as ImagePortal directs all traffic through port 80 (web traffic).
ImagePortal has many, many features which cannot be fully appreciated until a demo takes place, one such feature is fully editable metadata, meaning that all assets can be tagged with various client information.
